The rapid growth in the number of digital companies engaged with MacRoberts has underlined our status as a world leader in technology excellence. Both the UK and the Scottish Government express their firm support for this sector, recognising the potential for job creation and seeing it as a key part of the nation’s economic growth strategy.
It is therefore important to have a team of advisers who understand these challenges and the specific needs of their clients. We have experts who understand not only the law but also many of the technologies which our clients need to use. Our expert knowledge spans the full range of legal services for the sector and we take the time to understand your business, your business drivers and risks and reflect these in the commercial advice we provide. We offer sensible commercial and practical advice based on our knowledge and experience.
Our dedicated and flexible team anticipate and respond to relevant business factors, identify key legal and commercial issues, fix and meet deadlines and search for innovative and cost-effective solutions. We have a formidable reputation in the legal and commercial markets and are regularly instructed in complex, high profile matters. We pride ourselves on our diverse, resourceful and highly competent team – who have substantial commercial as well as legal experience – and our pragmatic and commercial approach to clients and their businesses.
Scotland has a long-established reputation for creativity, innovation and forward thinking, and MacRoberts’ lawyers are no exception. The rapid development of the digital economy in recent years has created a vibrant and ever-changing Technology, Media & Telecoms (TMT) sector, which has brought its fair share of legal challenges. MacRoberts has met these challenges time and time again, providing effective solutions for clients and contributing to digital excellence in Scotland, and the rest of the UK.
What sets us apart is our commitment to understanding fully the sector in which our clients operate.
Our lawyers not only understand the law, but are passionate about learning more about the technologies their clients use and keeping abreast of legal developments which may affect them.
We understand that in the modern world, there are very few areas not impacted by technology, media and telecoms. As a result, we remain focused on ensuring we stay ahead of the curve in advising clients of the ever-increasing body of law, regulation and policy affecting the sector. Our commercial approach to the TMT sector means we are always looking forward, anticipating legal issues before they happen.
