Our People Jamie Stewart

Solicitor

Jamie advises clients on intellectual property and data protection matters, and he is experienced in advising clients in the media and creative industries, including musicians and artists. Jamie regularly advises data subjects, data controllers and data processors on their rights under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Through his experience in dispute resolution, Jamie has experience of working on cease and desist matters along with litigating contentious IP and data protection, both personally at Simple Procedure and Ordinary Cause level and by instructing external counsel at Court of Session level. 

Prior to joining MacRoberts, Jamie graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU) in 2020 with an upper second class LLB (Hons), and from the University of Strathclyde in 2021 with a Diploma in Professional Legal Practice. Jamie then trained at a leading commercial legal firm from 2021 to 2023 where he gained experience was gained in Private Client, Commercial Real Estate, IP/Data Protection and Commercial Dispute Resolution.
