Gavin acts for employers, main contractors, sub-contractors and members of the design team in a wide range of construction disputes, ranging from residential disputes to multi million pound infrastructure defect disputes.

While Gavin guides clients through formal dispute resolution procedures including court actions, arbitrations, and adjudications, a large portion of his time is spent exploring alternative dispute resolution processes and strategies with clients to identify the most appropriate and efficient means of managing and resolving their disputes.

Gavin is accredited by The Law Society of Scotland as a Specialist in Construction Law, and he is ranked as a Leader in the Field for Construction in the 2024 edition of Chambers UK Guide to the Legal Profession.

He is not overly formal or someone who overly analyses cases.
