Law Services for Businesses Corporate Defence

Specialists in the defence of corporate criminal prosecutions raised in Scotland by the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service.

A specialist Corporate Defence team

Our specialist team advises on, prepares and presents the defence of prosecutions brought against our clients following investigations by regulatory bodies, including Police Scotland’s Economic Crime Unit, the Financial Conduct Authority, Health and Safety Executive, Scottish Environmental Protection Agency, Food Standards Agency, Forestry Commission, HMRC and DVSA.

Defending our clients throughout the process

Acting for a wide-ranging client base, from sole traders to global corporate companies, we defend our clients from the initial point of contact with investigators through to any hearing at court. We will liaise with investigators and prosecutors throughout and protect our client’s position, including representing our clients at interviews with investigators.

Immediate legal advice to protect your position

Businesses should seek legal advice as soon as they are contacted by a regulator in relation to an investigation or incident. We have a dedicated 24/7 telephone helpline to deal with these matters – a solicitor will be on call to provide advice on how the business should deal with the incident under investigation, and how to protect itself moving forward.
