Two Partners within MacRoberts' Commercial Dispute Resolution and IP, Technology & Commercial teams, Julie Hamilton and David Gourlay, are attending the International Trademark Association (INTA) Annual Meeting, which takes place in Boston from 18-22 May.

This is Julie and David's fifth trip to INTA, and this year's conference will look at a number of hot topics that are rapidly transforming the IP landscape, including counterfeits and piracy on the internet and in digital media, the global effect of the GDPR and what the future looks like for IP law firms in the digital age.

With a large number of educational seminars, events and exclusive receptions taking place during the conference, INTA provides an invaluable networking opportunity, and Julie and David's schedule for the week is packed with meetings with new and existing contacts from businesses across the globe. With David being on INTA's Data Protection Sub-Committee, he will be attending sessions on ‘Global Data Protection’ and ‘A Year of the GDPR'. Meanwhile, Julie has will be meeting with a number of firms based in countries across the world.

MacRoberts has connections with a number of international networks, and Julie and David will also be attending events hosted by Advoc and InterAct Law during their trip, providing an opportunity to make new connections and build on relationships with organisations around the world.
