Caring for our Communities Breast Cancer Now

Breast Cancer Now is here for anyone affected by breast cancer, the whole way through, providing support for today and hope for the future.

Breast Cancer Now is here for anyone affected by breast cancer, the whole way through, providing support for today and hope for the future. Despite decades of progress, we still lose far too many people we love to breast cancer.

Every year we lose over 11,500 lives to the disease. That’s someone every 45 minutes. And for hundreds of thousands of women, the long-term physical and emotional impacts of the disease remain devastating and life-limiting.

Steered by world-class research

By funding almost 340 of the brightest minds in breast cancer research across the UK and Ireland, Breast Cancer Now is discovering how to prevent breast cancer, save lives and to help people live well with the disease. To date, Breast Cancer Now has already invested £230 million in breast cancer research. Right now, funding around 80 cutting-edge projects worth just over £26 million.

Powered by life-changing care

Breast Cancer Now's website, app, helpline, printed publications and face-to-face support groups and courses are all there to make sure anyone diagnosed with breast cancer gets the support they need to help them to live well with the physical and emotional impacts of the disease.

Breast Cancer Now believes that if we all act now, we can change the future of breast cancer and make sure that, by 2050, everyone diagnosed with the disease lives – and is supported to live well.
