Sophia is a Barrister of the Bar of England and Wales and an Associate in the Commercial Dispute Resolution Group at MacRoberts. Sophia has significant experience in the fields of corporate insolvency and general commercial litigation, including cases of fraud and professional negligence. She has also had involvement in a wide variety of banking and financial services litigation and company law disputes.
Sophia previously worked as a Barrister in London and in Guernsey. She has further practiced as an Attorney in the Cayman Islands. Sophia has been involved in trials before the High Court of England and Wales and the Royal Court of Guernsey and has appeared in cases before the Grand Court of the Cayman Islands.
Sophia’s clients include banks and other financial institutions, corporate entities and individuals. Her memberships include INSOL, the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn and IWIRC.
Additionally, Sophia’s work has contributed to MacRoberts being shortlisted for Commercial Team of the Year at the British Legal Awards 2016
Sophia enjoys trekking and has climbed the highest mountains in Ethiopia and in North Africa.
