He has extensive experience in advising on organisational change, TUPE, disciplinary and grievance matters, whistleblowing, data protection and the employment aspects of insolvency situations.
Kenny also regularly advises senior executives and individuals on settlement agreements, restrictive covenants and bringing employment tribunal claims. He regularly appears in the Employment Tribunals where he has accumulated an enviable track record of success.
Kenny is accredited as a specialist in Employment Law by The Law Society of Scotland. He frequently devises and provides training to senior management, HR personnel and employees and is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.
He is also ranked in the 2024 edition of Chambers UK Guide to the Legal Profession for Employment Law.

Childcare Disparity and Flexible Working: Employer needs (sometimes) prevail
In Dobson v Cumbria Partnership NHS Foundation Trust [2023] the employment tribunal held that the requirement by an NHS employer for community nurses to work flexibly, including working at weekends (the “PCP”), was a proportionate means of achieving a legitimate aim and the dismissal of the Claimant for failure to agree to this was fair on the grounds of SOSR (some other substantial reason). We discuss the decision below.
