Jamie has acted for employers, main contractors, sub-contractors and professional consultants in a wide range of construction disputes, including appearing in debates and evidential hearings at sheriff courts throughout Scotland and litigating in the Court of Session. Jamie advises the firm’s private and public sector clients in relation to disputes that arise in both residential builds and more complex infrastructure projects.

Jamie has been involved in a number of large construction disputes arising from PFI projects and works closely with the wider Construction Group and Projects team in this area.

Whilst Jamie has significant experience in the formal litigation procedure, he maintains a strong focus on exploring alternative dispute resolution processes and strategies with the firm’s clients in providing tailored and strategic advice which meets their objectives. This has led to Jamie representing the firm’s clients in adjudications and mediations.
