Our People Eleanor Mannion

Legal Director

Eleanor is a dual qualified solicitor, enrolled in both the Republic of Ireland, where she originally studied and trained, and in Scotland. She practices exclusively in employment law and is accredited as a specialist by the Law Society of Scotland. With her mixed background of in-house public sector and private sector practice, Eleanor’s primary focus is on contentious employment matters and tribunal advocacy, bringing and defending claims of unfair dismissal, discrimination and whistleblowing. She also has a wealth of experience in advising on complex TUPE matters, redundancies, changing terms and conditions, senior exits and other organisational change issues.

Eleanor is an experienced trainer and as well as devising and delivering training to clients, has been invited to speak at events organised by the Employment Lawyers Association and the United Employment Lawyers Network.

Eleanor has been the Regional Representative for the Employment Lawyers Association since 2014 and also sits on their Legislative and Policy Committee, chairing and assisting responses to Government consultations on emerging areas of employment law. In 2016 she was invited to sit on the Employment Tribunal Stakeholder’s Forum which advises the Scottish Government on fair work practices that impact the tribunal. She sits as a legal member of the Housing and Property Chamber of the First Tier Tribunal for Scotland.
