MacRoberts adds to Employment team with Senior Associate appointment

Leading Scottish commercial law firm MacRoberts has strengthened its Employment team with the appointment of Senior Associate Kenny Scott. He is based in Edinburgh.

Kenny is an experienced employment lawyer who advises both commercial clients and individuals on the full range of employment issues, including tribunal claims, advising on discrimination, furlough, whistleblowing, working time, employee exits, employment contracts, TUPE and disciplinary/grievance issues. He is ranked in the leading independent legal directories as an “Associate to Watch”.

Neil Kennedy, Managing Partner, said: “We are delighted to welcome Kenny to the firm. Our Employment team is one of the longest-established specialist teams in Scotland with an unrivalled reputation for representing clients in Employment Tribunals, an area in which Kenny has an enviable reputation of success, and I am pleased to welcome him on board.”

Katy Wedderburn, Partner and Head of the Employment team, said: “Kenny is an excellent addition to our employment team. He brings a breadth of expertise in employment law which will complement the ability of colleagues in our team. We are all looking forward to working with him.”

Kenny’s appointment forms part of the firm’s strategic plans to expand its practice throughout Scotland, and follows the recent appointment of Chris Gardiner to the firm’s East coast Private Client team.
