We would be delighted if you would join us at our upcoming breakfast event which will provide a detailed yet refreshing and easy-to-understand overview of:

  • Current developments, issues and areas of focus in charity law, including: recent consultations and guidance and covering areas from fundraising to safeguarding;
  • Top tips to ensuring legal (principally Trustee) duties are met through good governance;
  • An overview of common pitfalls/shortfalls leading to legal/regulatory difficulties and how to avoid these.

This event is aimed at Trustees/employees of charities of all shapes and sizes and will also be of relevance to those working with the charity sector.

The session will be delivered by Robin Fallas who specialises in advising charities, third sector organisations and public bodies and those interfacing with these sectors on European and legislative considerations, regulation, commercial and contractual matters, legal structures, governance and disputes. He is also a member of the Law Society of Scotland’s Charity Law Sub-Committee.
