MacRoberts’ Duncan Osler in Christchurch for Social Enterprise World Forum 2017
MacRoberts Partner Duncan Osler is in Christchurch this week, speaking at the Social Enterprise World Forum (SEWF).
The SEWF is a global economic forum that attracts some 2,000 delegates, from social entrepreneurs, policy makers, community leaders, social investors and academics from all continents. Since 2008 it has brought delegates together each year to share ideas and best practice, develop policy support for social enterprises and help to create a more sustainable future. The SEWF is in Christchurch to find out how the communities have responded to the challenges caused by severe earthquake damage with innovative social enterprise solutions.
Duncan is part of a delegation from Scotland and beyond, organised by Community Enterprise in Scotland (CEIS), with representation from the Scottish Government, the British Council, Social Enterprise UK and leaders of inspiring Social enterprises from across the UK.
Duncan is speaking at workshops and events throughout the week focused on solutions for legal issues affecting social enterprises, drawing on existing knowledge and strength in Scotland. Scotland is one of the leading countries in the world for social enterprise.
