Taking a sensitive approach to complex matters

Coping with the death of a family member or loved one is a stressful and upsetting time. You can be sure that we will handle matters sensitively and with the utmost care, ensuring that the legalities relating to winding up an estate are dealt with promptly, efficiently and with the minimum upheaval of those who are grieving.

With considerable expertise in administration and issues relating to large, and often complex, estates, our estate planning team brings a level of knowledge and empathetic understanding to estate administration following a death where tensions can often arise.

Resolving matters with care and empathy

We can advise on all matters relating to the winding up of estates, including those with multi-jurisdictional issues, those with complex outstanding liabilities and possible insolvency issues, and those involving Heritage assets, applications for conditional exemption and making offers in lieu.

Businesses and partnerships

Our team can provide advice in relation to estates containing businesses and farming partnerships raising agricultural and business property relief issues.

We also deal with executory administration and negotiations with HMRC in respect of claims for Agricultural Property Relief, Business Property Relief and claims for gifts out of excess income.
