One of the largest construction law groups in Scotland, renowned for our expertise provided to clients across the Scottish construction sector.
Our award-winning team of construction lawyers advises clients at all stages of the construction process. From advice on appropriate forms of procurement, including drafting and negotiation of contracts (including SBCC, JCT and NEC), to contract and claims advice aimed at dispute avoidance and management and, if necessary, formal dispute resolution procedures, our clients benefit from our market-leading expertise and experience acquired through decades of advising on all aspects of construction law.
We understand our clients’ commercial aims and apply our extensive practical experience to identify and manage risk appropriately. We look to identify areas where difficulties could arise and, by addressing these at the start of a project, we aim to reduce the likelihood of costly problems at a later stage.
Our construction lawyers regularly act in teams involving designers, quantity surveyors, funders, planners and claims advisers, working collaboratively to deliver the best possible outcomes for our clients. Solely devoted to construction work, our team can provide straightforward and practical advice to all sectors of the construction market.
MacRoberts has been at the forefront of Scotland’s construction sector for over 30 years, and we act for clients operating in all areas of the industry, including public sector bodies, private developers, contractors, sub-contractors, suppliers, professionals and insurers.
