Family Lawyers in Edinbrugh

Children dressed as superheroes

Mindful of delivering value for money without compromising quality of service, our family lawyers in Edinburgh work collaboratively with our clients to help them find the best possible outcome, reach an early settlement and maintain relationships where possible.

We adopt a holistic approach when dealing with family business assets and work closely with our colleagues in our corporate and employment departments.

We understand and appreciate the challenges placed on so many families as a result of the ongoing global pandemic. If your family situation becomes increasingly difficult and legal advice is required, we are still fully open for business and ready to provide advice to you. During lockdown, we have had to become more creative about the way in which we “meet” our clients. We can offer consultations by phone, Skype, WhatsApp or FaceTime, at a time suitable to you.

In the current circumstances, with the courts only taking urgent business, finding alternative ways of resolving disputes is more important than ever. Mediation offers a solution to many families currently in the midst of separation or conflict. Our Edinburgh family law team has conducted a number of successful mediation sessions, which can be done remotely, during the pandemic.

We recognise that, under lockdown, even the strongest of relationships are being tested in a way they never have before. For most, “this too will pass”, and as the inspirational Captain Tom Moore said, “The clouds will pass and the sun will shine on you again”

To provide you with immediate reassurance and to understand your current situation, we offer a 15-minute consultation at no cost.

Unfortunately, we are unable to take on legal aid cases.
