MacRoberts were delighted to sponsor the inaugural Fife Whisky Festival this weekend, which took place at the Corn Exchange in Cupar on Saturday 10th March.
The event, which was opened by Scottish cyclist Mark Beaumont, was launched by businesswomen Justine Hazlehurst, founder of Kask Whisky, and Karen Somerville, managing director of Angels’ Share Glass, who joined forces to organise the festival in a bid to bring whisky back to the Kingdom of Fife.
More than 25 distilleries and independent bottlers attended the event, including Fife’s well-known Kingsbarns Distillery, Lindores Abbey Distillery and Eden Mill, together with Glen Moray, Isle of Arran Whisky and Springbank Distillery. Fife-based musical duo The Coaltown Daisies – famous for producing ‘The Whisky Song’ which became the theme for last year’s World Whisky Day – entertained festival-goers as they enjoyed sampling the wide range of whiskies on offer.
MacRoberts sponsored the event alongside Bruce Stevenson Insurance Brokers and Colorado Construction.
