MacRoberts is pleased to be recognised at this year’s Law Awards of Scotland, which take place in Glasgow on 29th November.

Following the acquisition of leading debt recovery and credit control law firm Yuill + Kyle, the firm has been shortlisted for Debt Recovery Team of the Year. Yuill + Kyle, led by Managing Director Stephen Cowan, joined the MacRoberts group in early 2018, complementing the firm’s existing debt recovery services led by Partner Leon Breakey.

Senior Solicitor Rebecca Barrass has also been shortlisted for Junior Lawyer of the Year. A key member of the firm’s constructionteam, Rebecca specialises in contentious construction and advises clients in both the public and private sector in relation to a wide range of construction matters.

Managing Partner Neil Kennedy said: “Since Rebecca joined us as a trainee, she has always shown 100% commitment to the firm – going way above and beyond what is expected of her. From her success and relationships with clients to her work on the firm’s Diversity & Wellbeing Forum and the MacRoberts Young Construction Network, she is a very valued member of the team and I am delighted she is being considered for this award.”

The Law Awards of Scotland, hosted by The Herald in association with HRC Recruitment, are the leading legal awards in Scotland, recognising and celebrating the high-quality work undertaken by Scotland’s most respected lawyers.
