MacRoberts is delighted to be a finalist in three categories at the 18th annual Scottish Legal Awards.

The firm is shortlisted for Firm of the Year and the Business Resilience Award. Rebecca Cox, an Associate in the firm’s Corporate Finance team, is also shortlisted for Rising Star of the Year.

Judged by a panel of experts from across the legal industry, the independent competition recognises and celebrates excellence in Scottish law and highlights notable achievements from across the Scottish legal sector.

MacRoberts’ recognition in the Business Resilience category is testament to the robust processes and procedures implemented by the firm in response to the coronavirus pandemic. The firm had invested heavily in its IT and operational capabilities, MacRoberts was accredited with the ISO 22301:2012 Business Continuity certification in early 2020, adding to the ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) and ISO 27001 (Information Security) certifications already held by the firm. This meant the business was well-placed to move to an agile working model overnight and continue to provide excellence in legal service to its clients whilst all its people worked remotely.

MacRoberts celebrated a double win at the Scottish Legal Awards 2020, being named Corporate & Commercial Team of the Year and Family Law Team of the Year.

This year’s ceremony will take place in Glasgow in September. Full details of the awards and the full shortlist can be found here.
