MacRoberts' James Keith promoted to Partner

MacRoberts is delighted to announce the promotion of Pensions lawyer James Keith to Partner.

Formerly a Legal Director within the firm’s Pensions Group, James began his legal career as a trainee with MacRoberts in 2003 and remained with the firm after qualifying in 2005. James advises on all aspects of pensions law and employee ownership law to trustees, companies, public sector and third sector organisations. He is also a Director of MacRoberts Trustees Limited, the firm's independent trustee company.

James is also a member of the Association of Pension Lawyers (APL) and its Public Sector Pensions Sub Committee; he has also recently been elected as the Secretary of its Scottish Group. James co-authored the Scottish section of Tolley’s Pensions Law, a major UK legal textbook, with Pensions Partner Martyn Shaw in September 2016.

Managing Partner Neil Kennedy said: “James has proven his worth, both in terms of commitment to the business and his clients, and brings a wealth of talent to the partnership at MacRoberts. It demonstrates our commitment to the career progression of our people and we are delighted to welcome James to the partnership.”
