  • Acting for a hotel group in connection with the refurbishment of existing hotels in Glasgow and Edinburgh to upgrade the Hilton brand.


  • Advising a boutique hotel brand on the funding of BPRA-funded acquisition and redevelopment of old printworks building to become a “Z” branded hotel.


  • Acting for a well known hotel management company in operation of new hotels at Luton Airport; Liverpool Staybridge Suite; Inverness Ramcore; Chatham Maritime; Newcastle Holiday Inn Express; London Docklands Crowne Plaza; Leeds; Doncaster and Marlow; and advising on the sale and purchase of various hotels across the UK.


  • Advised on numerous one-off instructions in relation to the acquisition of a range of licensed premises throughout Scotland comprising nightclubs, pubs and restaurants, whether by way of freehold acquisition or lease and whether from multiple operators or individuals.
  • Acting for a development company in relation to the substantial refurbishment of an existing building in Durham to create the new Hotel Indigo.


  • Acting for a major bank in the development of the new Tune Hotel in Glasgow.


  • Acting for a hotel company in the purchase of Parliament House Hotel, Edinburgh.


  • Acted for the developers of gyms within shopping centres.


  • Acted for the purchasers in the sale of a hotel management company to another hotel management company, which required complex and significant due diligence work.


  • Acting for a restauranteur on all their property transactions in Scotland, including lease of a retail unit at Buchanan Galleries and new restaurant in Silverburn, Glasgow.
