MacRoberts gear up for Glasgow office move to Capella
MacRoberts LLP is to become the first tenant at Capella on Atlantic Quay in the heart of Glasgow’s International Financial Services District (IFSD).
In a major boost for the city’s commercial property sector and the IFSD, the commercial law firm will relocate to Capella from its existing Glasgow premises at 152 Bath Street, in May 2010 and will occupy four floors, covering more than 34,000 square feet.
At 113,122 sq ft (10,510 sq m) the 11-storey, £35 million Capella development is the tallest office building on the Broomielaw and affords outstanding views across the whole of the city. It is the centrepiece of Atlantic Quay and more than 12,000 people now work in the Broomielaw area.
Michael Murphy, Managing Partner of MacRoberts LLP said: “MacRoberts have made a very bold decision to secure what we consider to be the best office location in Glasgow for our business. The selection of Capella and the timing of the move is a clear statement of our ambition and our confidence in the future of MacRoberts and of our desire to provide our staff with modern, attractive and comfortable office accommodation that enhances the efficiency of the way we work together, for the ultimate benefit of our clients.”
