Trainees
It is important to get a good start to your career in the law and, with this in mind, our Trainee programme has been designed to enable you to get the most from a combination of on-the-job training, courses and seminars.
We aim to attract high-calibre Trainees who will contribute to the success of our business. Academic achievement is, of course, important: however, we pay a lot of attention to your personal characteristics. We are looking for excellent communication skills, sound planning and organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Our closing date for applications for a 2011 Traineeship has now passed and we are no longer accepting applications. The closing date for applications for a Traineeship commencing in 2012 is 12 noon on 29 October 2010.
University Law Fairs
We will be attending the following law fairs in the period leading up to our closing date for traineeship applications. We would be pleased to meet you and let you have more information about MacRoberts and our traineeship programme. You would also have the opportunity to meet with some of our current trainees.

- Wednesday 6 October 2010 - Glasgow University
- Thursday 7 October 2010 - Strathclyde University
- Monday 11 October 2010 - Aberdeen University

Completed forms should be returned to hr@macroberts.com or sent to the Human Resources Department, MacRoberts LLP, Capella, 60 York Street, Glasgow G2 8JX.
Interviews take place in our offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh during November. If you are successful, we like to keep in contact with you in the run-up to the commencement of your Traineeship - we will invite you to social events to give you the opportunity to meet with some of our Partners and current Trainees and also let you meet other Trainees who will be joining at the same time as you.
Trainees lift Prospects Scottish Cup
