He deals with the full range of corporate and commercial advice, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, equity and debt funding, general commercial contracts, connection agreements, power purchase agreements, regulatory and market advice, development agreements, EPC and O&M contracts, shareholder agreements and funding documents.
A graduate of Glasgow University, with a first class honours in law, Michael has been a MacRoberts partner for 22 years. In that time, he led the firm’s development in the PFI market, to the point where MacRoberts was consistently recognised as one of the top law firms in the country in that sector and Michael himself was regularly lauded as one of the leading individuals in the market. He was also the firm’s managing partner from 2005 to 2011.
He is on the executive committee of the Scottish Council for Development and Industry, and is a member of the Power Law Committee of the International Bar Association and the Law Working Group of the Nuclear Industry Association.
