Neil is Head of Construction and acts for employers, contractors, consultants and their insurers.
While Neil specialises in preventing and dealing with disputes in all sectors of the construction industry, he also has extensive experience of dispute resolution in many commercial areas such as contract, negligence and insurance. He is a recognised expert in arbitration, acting for parties and as legal adviser to Arbitrators, as well as Adjudication and other alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.
Neil was made an Honorary Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 2007. He is accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a specialist in construction law. He is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (former Committee member of Scottish Branch), Commissioner of the Scottish Council for International Arbitration and Convener of the Scottish Region of the Adjudication Society. From 2003 to 2008, he was Editor of Scottish Construction Law Review.
