More InformationFor those involved in the construction industry, keeping up to date with legal developments affecting the sector is essential - particularly in today's highly competitive market which is still suffering the effects of the recession. This seminar is designed to help you to do that.
The seminar will focus on and inform you about:
- Recent trends in the terms of building contracts - What's happening in standard form and other contracts? How will it affect your interests?
- Caselaw update - What the courts have been saying on important topics affecting the construction industry.
- Changes in legislation - In the not too distant past, arbitration was the preferred dispute resolution mechanism in the construction industry for obtaining a final decision on disputes. What are the changes introduced by the new Arbitration (Scotland) Act? We will also touch upon the new Bribery Bill.
All of our speakers are drawn from our extensive Construction Group team of specialist construction lawyers.
